Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the combat sports. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd then went on to win three fights in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were finished within the first five minutes. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen an unanimity loss and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd took her fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing a 1st-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 was her debut fight as a bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
